AGAMal Relocates National Offices

The integrated Malaria Control Programme established and implemented by AngloGold Ashanti since 2006 has relocated its Offices from the South Mine to the North Mine in Obuasi as part of the ongoing restructuring process of the AngloGold Ashanti Mine.


The new offices  which was relocated in early part of 2014 now occupy the old Project Department of AngloGold Ashanti near Adansi Shaft and adjacent to the Edwin Cade Memorial Hospital also known as A.G.A Hospital.

This award winning programme which is in partnership with the Ghana Health Services and Global Fund through the National Malaria Control programme has as its mandate and objectives to control malaria within the beneficiary districts.

Sections housed in the compound of the head office include the Operations and Communications, Administration and Human Resources, Finance and Accounts as well as the Entomology, Monitoring and Evaluation department which functions as a training centre for malaria control interventions for AngloGold Ashanti Ghana operations and a research centre for academic purposes and other governmental agencies.


AGA Mal is set to control malaria with Indoor Residual Spraying  which will help the country to achieve one of its millennium development goals.
