The Colombian Ambassador to Ghana recently visited the AGAMal Offices in Obuasi with a call on AngloGold Ashanti to collaborate  and work together with Colombia in the fight against malaria, which is increasingly becoming world’s number one source of mortality not only in Ghana and other African countries but South America as well. 

AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control Programme (AGAMal) has resumed spraying for five districts in the upper East and all the Southern Zones except Obuasi Municipality which was sprayed earlier in 2014.

Indoor Residual Spraying (I R S) is being implemented in Upper East and parts of the Southern Zone where malaria is a major public health concern for the country.

The Upper East districts which includes Bongo, Bawku Municipal, Talensi Nambdam, Bawku West and Garu whiles the Southern Zone also includes Upper Denkyira, Adansi

A 12-member delegation from Arysta Life Science and Sygenta visited the Malaria Control Centre recently and left on a note that AngloGold Ashanti is not only a caring company but it is positively working with Ghana to reduce malaria throughout the country.
