There are four (04) departments in AGAMal. Each department is headed by a manager and these mangers form the AGAMal management team. The management team is headed by the Program Director – Mr. Samuel A. Asiedu who reports to the Board of AGAMAL.
Below are a summary profile of the Departmental Heads.
1. Administration & Human Resource Management
Mr. Godwin Kwame Yamoah is the Head of Administration and Human Resource management. The department consists of the Human Resource Unit, Industrial Relations, Administration, Transport and Public Relations where matters of human relations are solved to help run the organization smoothly.
Kwame, as he likes to be called has a rich experience in Human Resources and prior to AGAMal played an important role in Expresso Telecom Ghana as their Human Resource Manager.
He is a devoted and loving leader who works tirelessly with an effort to uplift the name of AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control Limited.
2. Operations & Communication
Mr. Malik Kofi Assan is the Head of Operations & Communication Department. The department entails the Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Unit and Operations Unit.
Before his current position, he worked with AngloGold Ashanti (GH) Malaria Control Limited and National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) with over 20 year work experience.
Mr. Assan joined AGAMAL in 2013 as a District Operations Manager (DOM) and has a skillful experience in Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) implementation which aids the efforts in helping spray operators impact on beneficiary districts.
3. Finance and Resource Optimization
Mr. Eric Fosu- Kwabi is the Head of Finance and Resource Optimization. The department consists of Finance Unit and Purchasing and Supply Management (PSM) Unit.
Having a broad Experience in Finance from AngloGold Ashanti Limited has built his expertise which drives the finance department into giving out excellence financial prudence.
Mr. Kwabi is a strategic planner and an excellent negotiator which helps AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control Program in presenting good budget results to Global Fund for an efficient work.
4. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
The M&E department is headed by Mr. Ignatius Williams. The department has two units which are incharge of Entomological and Data Management activities. Mr. Williams is a public health expert with over 10 years working experience and with a vast knowledge in M&E activities in relation to malaria vector control (i.e. IRS and Larval Source Managment-LSM). Prior to his current position, Mr. Williams worked with Anglogold (GH) Ashanti Limited in various capacities. The M&E department has a resident medical entomologist with the state-of-the-art entomological laboratory.
