Mr. Samuel Asiedu Agyei, the New Program Director (PD) for AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control Limited (AGAMal), has received a tremendous welcome from the major stakeholders of the program in the Upper East & West Regions. The maiden stakeholders’ engagements since he assumed office in November 2017, took the Program Director and his team to the Upper West Regional Minister, the Regional and District Health directorates of the Ghana Health Services in all the operational districts and some traditional rulers.

They were full of praise for the IRS program carried out by AGAMal which has helped reduce the incidence of malaria in their communities, thus contributing to the improved health status of members of the community. They were also grateful for the employment opportunities the program offers hundreds of the youth and the business opportunities for service providers the program engages during the Operational Period. They pledged their continued support for the new director and his team to help sustain the program in the community for a long time to come.
